Im interested in the Boker Vox Rhino and the Becker Bk 11. The Rhino costs about $ 20.00 more then the BK 11. I want to buy American so i got the Becker BK 2 already and am not impressed with the grind as it was uneven on both sides. I know its only $ 60.00 but i have Boker Plus products from china with better grinding.Thats ok anyways as its a survival knife meant to baton and beat up. Maybe its the .25 in thick that makes it hard to grind evenly. Anyway the rhino has better grips and is stainless which makes it better for EDC which is my intended purpose. Also saw reviews on Rhino stating the quality is excellent comparable to German made knives. BK 11 seems more of a rough use item there fore its just black coated also it has no grips as is. Would not wear either as neck knife as it might fall out just as bending over then stabbing self. Some reviews state Bk 11 as having loose sheaths. Costing almost double the rhino might be in a different class, But thats because of shipping is $ 10.00 at 39.99 for rhino while bk 11 can be had from amazon at $32.00 free ship so there's only a 10.00 difference in actual price. I cant find the rhino on amazon with free ship. What are your thoughts.

I say go for the BK11 and do your own paracord wrap to personalize it! These are really two completely different knives, so it really depends on what you are using it for. The BK11 is lighter and is made in USA. You can get or make scales for the BK11 too.

The BK11 is outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to replace mine but your mind is already made up. Get the one you want.

iv been looking at both the Rhino and the Gnome in stag that they have now, but wasnt sure if they where made in china or not, i own a Bk-11 and its a great little knife but the Bokers have a nicer look to them, not sure about the steel types tho, the boker catalog i got says they are 12c27

I want the Boker Rhino pretty bad so I "feel ya", one review I read said that the sheath sucked (really loose) but my Becker/Eskabar has a really loose and rattly sheath.... though the retention is just fine where it is "tight". As for the steel=12c27 I believe this is the same sandvik that Mora uses. They are made in the PRC and not Germany or Argentina.:grumpy: Though all the reviews I read said that there were no quality control issues. For what it's worth..... also post a review and pics when you do get one.;)

I just got the BK-11 and it's a nice little knife. The black coating should make rust less of an issue, and the sheath problem had to do with an earlier sheath. They changed the design, and if you order a BK-11 now, you'll get the new sheath, which fits the knife better. I wouldn't worry about it falling out if you use it as a neck knife; it's very secure and I can't see that happening at all. But ultimately it's you who has to decide which knife you want, so weigh the option and choose what you like.

Ordinarily, I do not buy Chinese knives, but when I got a chance to look over the Rhino I was really taken with it, and the craftsmanship. It is not a nack knife, however. The kydex sheath was pretty poor, so I had Spen, at JRE Industries make a killer leather one to replace it. It is just a great all aroubd knife.

I was going to get the Gnome, as well, but passed on it. It does not have practical ergos and is hard to control. The sheath is useless, too.
