Boker Vulkanus Sharpener

Hello everyone. Has anyone tried one of the Boker Vulkanus sharpeners? I'm considering one and wanted to get some opinions on them. Thanks!

been curious myself. I have a Warthog Vsharp that is the sort of same principle, just with a lot more stuff to it. It works great and I use it most of everything.

I believe the Boker is more for steeling than sharpening.I think the blade is rubbing against 2 steel rods as opposed to an abrasive rod.

The blade pulled through the sharpener against carbide inserts. There's a review of The Vulkanus in the May '06 edition of Blade. Just wondered if anyone had used one.
