recently got the carver's congress whittler from Boker. and i gotta say that i am loveing this knife, its my first "nice" knife (have other good knives just not as nice). so far the only thing i can find "wrong" with it is that the spey blade doesnt have a half stop while all the other blades do, doesnt effect useing it, but just a bit strange.

wish i had some pictures but haven't gotten a chance to... meh is still looks new (other than a bit of patina forming on the sheeps foot blade from some apple/orange peeling, which i'm purposely letting form) so you all can see what it looks like with a quick google search anyway....

so what was your first "nice" knife?

Scott

edit: also i noticed that the tip of the spey blade sticks out alittle, doesnt look out of place so i figure its normal, so i was wondering if i sharpened that tip (its quite dull right now) if it would tend to snag on things or create a hot spot or even cut me while useing the knife. any advice on this is appreciated.

I got one for whittling. It does a great job. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Congrats on a nice knife!
I noticed that about the spey too, but try as I might I couldn't get it to catch on anything. Reminds me of the way the spey is on my yellow Buck 301.

Looks like a nice knife. :) You could drop the point on the spey a little by carefully sanding down the kick on the tang.
