I can't seem to find the thickness of this knife's handle, does anybody know?

Kinda curious how this might lay flat in a pocket.

Bokerplus :: Pocketknives :: Mike Skellern :: EXSKELI BUR II

This compact folder features all the same specifications as the Exskelibur I (above), but in a smaller size, and with a traditional nail nick for convenient opening. Blade length: 2 3/4''. Overall length: 6 1/2''. Weight: 2.2 oz.

The handle is 1.1 cm thick, which is more or less the same as a classic alox Soldier swiss army knife, hence pretty unnoticeable.
If we add the clip at it's thickest it's 1.6cm thick, but perhaps you'd take it off.
The Boker Plus Exskelibur 2 is a really nice and elegant EDC at the price, in my opinion.
If you'd like to see it in the hand, I discuss it in this video.

Thank you for the reply Dagon. I've watched the youtube video you made, and actually other's of your's too. You make good video's thank you very much.

1.1 cm.....that's thicker than I was hoping for. I actually want to get the Exskelimoor 2 so I hope it is thinner, maybe 9 mm like my Caly 3 Syderco.

You wouldn't know if the Exskelimoor 2 is thinner than the Exskelibur 2 would you? maybe you've seen it, or handled it at an exhibit or show like SHOT.

Thanks again for your reply. Wow, I'm writing to a celebrity! :)

hi TommyGuns, welcome to the forums! :) i expect my exskelibur2 this week. if you go to the manufacturers forum there is a boker sub forum. you're be able to talk to someone from boker. they're pretty good about giving up info on the knives. :)

Mine will be here this week also. I think I'm going to like it a lot.

Thanks Dagon for your review, it got me to finally pull the trigger.

I went to the manufactors section and reposted my question.

Thank you for the tip Jack!

I actually went there and looked for related posts but didn't see anything so that's when I made my post in the General Discussion section.

I was thinking more people would see it here. This is actually a very active site!

I like it here, the people are nice too! Tommyguns :)

Glad my humble little hobby reviews are useful to some!
The Exskelimoor is not yet on the market, so someone from Boker should reply to give the exact answer; even so, if the scales have the same thickness then it will probably be around a millimeter thicker because the Exskelimoor has 2 liners, while the Exskelibur has 1.
Regarding thickness in the pocket, if you take the clip away it's in essence the same as an alox SAK which allows for perfectly unobtrusive carry!
