I've been a fan of some of the Bokers, especially the Boker Plus line & the CLB designed knives. My question is this, what is Boker's Chinese 440C heat treated at (RC)?

I know there have been quite a bit of "comments" on the internet about how Chinese 440C isn't really 440C, but I imagine Boker works with a "reliable" Chinese manufacturer. So, does anyone know at what hardness & how does Bokers 440C compare to others' 440C?

Thank you in advance.

Judging by it then, Boker actually imports most of the blade steel from somewhere else for the knives made in China. That explains alot, thank you.

Based on this thread, I decided to purchase a BK-BO217 Boker Plus Spear Point Fixed Blade. SMKW has them on clearance right now. I'll post my impressions when it arrives.

I have a Boker Cop Tool in 440C and i really like it. I still hate the idea of a Boker being made in China but the quality seems to be good?

I bought the boker magnum underdog, not as good as boker or boker plus, but the steel is 440 and im quite impressed with the lightness and strength of the blade.
