I have a vanguard which I think is a great knife, but would like to ask why the bolsters are polished after fitting to the knife as it leaves a mirror polished strip across the ricasso that somehow detracts from the rest of the finish. Apart from that it takes a scary sharp edge on a small india whetstone and is one of the most versatile knives I have ever used
