Just realized I never posted this here and, since there may be some folks who never visit the Spyderco factory forum, figured I should. Received another totally unexpected delivery from UPS about a week ago . Darn near fainted when I opened the package. Think everyone here knows how I feel about the Stretch and, to me, this is the finest rendition of it yet. Can't thank Sal enough for this one. To say I'm ecstatic would be an understatement. I know someone's bound to ask, but I have no idea whether this one will be put into production or not. Scales are cocobolo, weight is 138 grams / 4.75 ounces, liners are solid. Thickness is the same as the CF version, as are all other dimensions.

And a final shot taken after I set it up for my style of carry. Clip is now tucked away in a drawer and the knife is safely tucked away in my back pocket.

Thanks again Sal, from the bottom of my heart. :)

Very cool.
But it doesn't have the Spyderco look, I don't know how to articulate it, but it doesn't look like a Spyderco, I do love the Stretch, I passed on the CF version banking on a new upgraded version at some point, maybe if this makes it into production it will be my next Stretch purchase

I love my cf stretch . I would love to have one of these fancy ones . For some reason the non knife people even seem to get excited at wood handles. I need one but in zdp:D

That really is gorgeous, and I am totally jealous!

Paul, please do anything you can to get Sal to put that into production.
Unless costs are prohibitive, I'm sure it would be a winnter.

That is a classy looking variant of one of the finest slicers ever made. Leave it Sal and team to come up with something so awesome. Dang Paul, you get all the cool stuff. ;)

Awesome. My CF ZDP Stretch just happens to be in my pocket as I type this. :)

I've got to be honest... I've been staring at these pics for sometime now. I don't normally prefer modern-looking knives made in older more classic styles unless they're "classic knives" all the way around... but this is sort of a modern-meets-classic look yet for some reason, I find it extremely appealing.

If this thing becomes available in production or Sprint run, I might be tempted to pick one up.

Are the Bolsters a part of the liners (like one billet piece) or are they attached somehow? Can you show pics of the front/back of the knife?

Very, very nice. I've yet to get a Stretch, but I think this is it. Between this Stretch and what's coming from the Amsterdam meeting thread, this is promising to be an exciting year for Spyderco.

Admittedly it would be quite unusual if they are, but the bolsters appear to be integral with the liners. All I can say for certain is that I cannot see any joint, but I'll let you judge for yourself.

If they're separate, I'd imagine they're attached in the same way as those on the Kiwi, Kopa, C83 and C105 Persian. I assume all of those are soldered, but don't know for sure.

That is amazing. Do you think you can post a pic of the spine/lock?
