Bolt cuttin' knives!

Years ago, pre BF, there was a knifemaker that used the old bolt cutting bit

to promote his work. As best I can recall he made several combat patterns. He had a web site.

This was in the old rec.knives days. Anyone remember?

Can't help there but Buck used to use that trick in their advertisements

I seem to remember that the Buck test was where this guy got the idea.
Richtig also promoted his knives in similar fashion.

I've done searches here and Google with no luck. I may be using the wrong combination of words.
