Bolt terminology question

I am having some problems finding something that I am pretty sure exists. I am looking to bolt handles to a knife, the handles are going to be fairly flexibly, rubber-like, so I am going to epoxy them and use bolts to keep them squeezed together, so my question is this.
i would like to drill a hole in the tang and be able to slip two identical headed bolts together, one from each side that thread together and squeeze the handle together permanently, no tapping of the tang or anything, i hope that explanation is clear

what are those bolts called? ideally i'd like them in stainless with rounded torx heads? is this ringing a bell with anybody, i can't think of terms to search by to find what I need.

TIA :)

Look in a catalog like Sheffield's knifemaker's Supply. Look up "Corby" bolts and "Loveless" bolts and see if those are what you seek. If not, then you will most likely have to piece it together out of a hardware catalog.

the corbys and the loveless, you grind the head off when your done right? i am looking for something to countersink a little below level and keep the head intact, also i think i need a little more shoulder on the bolts,
any other suggestions?

Chicago screws, like are used for Kydex sheathes? Places like MSC carry them in various lengths. Otherwise, socket-head cap screws. Hardware catalogs, places like McMaster Carr, MSC, Grainger, or even your local True Value or Ace hardware.

I think i found exactly what i wanted, tamper resistant stainless sex bolt, not too cheap, but that's what i need.
thanks for pointing me in the right direction
