Does anyone know anything about Harju’s Nordic Knife Supply, in Tennessee?

Harju's website is a knock-off of Dennis Holmbacka's Scandinavian knife supply company, and looks like he literally copied Dennis's catalog website. While the carbon copy website made me suspicious of Harju's intentions - - I thought I ask forum members if Harju was legit or not.

It looks to me like there might be some sort os association between Harju's Nordic Knives and Dennis Holmbacka. Harju's seem to sell his knives. Harju's does have the same things posted on their site as dennis does on his and this further reinforces my belief that they might somehow be associated. The best thing to do might be to check with both the parties involved and see what they have to say.
 
Thanks Keith. Yeah, I already e-mailed Dennis in Finland, but haven't heard back yet. I have had my websites hijacked by others, who mis-represented themselves, and wondered if this was the case at Harju's site.
 
Mystery solved. Turns out Dennis Holmbacka has enlisted a partner in the US - - Gary Harju.

A catalog site stateside, for Nordic style knives, will be a nice addition. Won't have to do all the dollar to Euro conversions now.

Those of you interested or curious about Nordic style knives, knife-making, blade blanks and materials should check out these sites. They have some great kits for young, up and coming bladesmiths.

I think it is great that you can buy wootz from this site. I have seen some of the Nordic knives that are being made from wootz and they look great. Maybe with a supplier in the US we will start to see more knives being made from wootz. I sure hope so, I love the stuff.

Have to say that Gary Harju is doing a first rate job! I can recommend this online source to anyone looking for Nordic knives or Nordic knife-making supplies. My recent order was processed promptly, and merchandise received in short turnaround. A couple back-ordered items, which I was informed of right when the order was place, arrived precisely when promised (only a 2-week delay).

Kudos to you Gary! Keep up the good work.
