The two Bond Arms Vantage Avids just came. They were really quick to get them in the mail!

I really like these, but especially the rosewood. I'm going to carry both of them, so I just put in an order for two more to put away.

The rose wood is nice!

I didn't ponder it much. How do they compare price wise to the std versions? Shipping cost from Bond?

If i buy one would need to buy the pistol to go with it, that's what scares me off of them :)

Well, I checked KC and they sell the Avid for apprx. $39 + $7.50 Priority Mail. the Bond Avids are $60 and they shipped two for $7.50 Priority. Whether or not the classier (IMO) handles are worth the extra is a matter of personal likes. For me it was worth it. Plus, I ordered on the 31st of March and they came today.

I'll be ordering a couple soon. Thanks for posting the pictures. I would like them without the logos and with S30V steel, but I guess that's not the point as far as the company is concerned. I've never tried the 13C26 Sandvik, so this will be my chance. I also want the indigo and cherry - hopefully in S30V. Maybe a BCCI offering?

I carry my Avid daily and really like it.

Those are sweet and I don't mind the logo as much since it is gun/knife related.

I have a 110 Amoco which just doesn't do it for me.

Good price for a special run in my mind.

:D:D I wonder if I could get a Paradigm with handles like those??
That was a joke, get it?;)

If the Bonds had been S30V, I'd have bought them too, but in reality, only for the "snob appeal".

For the limited use any of my EDC's get, 420HC would be plenty good enough.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but I just like S30V. :)

The Bond logo is nice since those are cool looking guns and I would like to have one, except I have no real use for one. I wouldn't buy a Buck with a Coca-Cola logo, but I will buy the Bonds. Most people I know will likely think Bond Arms has something to do with 007, or Sean Connery in the case of the women I know.

I think haviing "Buck" on the handle in the same manner as the "Bond" logo would be very acceptable.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to do the 007 link. The Bond knives are meant to be "Shaken and not Stirred":D

So do I, but I just realised that the only reason for that is because I've been conditioned into liking it better by all the reading I've done here and not because I can really tell any difference myself. ;)

Big Brother Computer is watching and says:

Actually, I can tell a difference between Buck's S30V, CPM-154, 440C and 420HC when sharpening and using for certain purposes. (S30V stands out a bit, the others tend to blend though 440C has its own feel and is a bit different from the rest) The others, 154CM, 425M etc. I haven't used enough to tell.

Yeah, something like that. :D Actually one of the things I like about having the fancy steels is the cool Bos stamp!

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!
I really really like the checking on the rosewood.
With luck we'll see some more of that without a vendor logo.

my bond arms vantage is one of my most expensive "knives"...well, guess i didn't have to get the Bond Arms 38/357 to match the vantage but they looked good together! will be in real trouble if Buck ever teams up with Smith & Wesson or Remington!

Thanks for the photos Plumberdv.
Your photos are very popular in Russia too.
One guy (not me ) stole your first photo from this thread.
Then he published it in the Russian knives forum number one.
But he did it with the link on this thread.
It helps for popularization of Buck's knives in Russia.
