Has anyone tried bonding the parts for a 2 x 72 instead of welding?

Only know of one guy who's done that, but he built his out of plywood...

If you want to build a grinder without welding, maybe take a look at B bjansen 's plans for an aluminum grinder that is bolted together. I've built one based on those plans and it works great.

Lots of grinders are made with bolts only. The NWG (No Weld Grinder) kit was one of them. There are many other plans out ter for such builds. The EERF (FREE spelled backwards) grinder plans are good.
