Can the experienced out there help me out please? What's the best way/thing for cleaning bone or antler handles? I have a couple of oldish French knives and they've lost the shine on the bone. I've also got a beaker(cup)made out of buffalo or cow horn and it's over 100years old,how about cleaning that up too? While we're about it,what about cleaning ivory?(that's old too so no recent elephant slaughter)Thanks!

Furniture polish. Dampen your rag good and have a go at it. I used it to polish my deer antlers and it worked so good they would smile at me when I was finished. Deer like shiney antlers.

Thanks Magneto, I'll try it out, how about ivory though it seems tougher and more stain friendly than other bone?

I have not had any ivory to try it out on, should still work though. But you may need more elbow grease on it.

For some reason I emitted a loud cackle when I read this.
