Hi everyone,my first post,i'm using the bone just off the scull that goes in where the horns begin for my knife handle,i don't want to smooth it off to much because it looks quite cool and natural (it's a very old set off horns with cracks and small holes in the bone) referring to a previous post about the superglue and sanding ,what grit should i start off with and could i use clear 5 minute epoxy instead of the superglue Thanks Denzil

I think superglue has got better penetration than epoxy. Unless you have got some special considerations I would suggest you to use the superglue.
As for the grit: I think that will depend on what you want to achieve. You could try it on a piece you will not use and decide for yourself. Or could start with something safe, like 400 grit and then move either way. That would be my suggestion.

Thanks , will do,also my hidden tang is slightly loose on the handle but i'm sure epoxy will lock it in? (my 1st build with an old file)
