I was over on Facebook and seen a NICE group of bone handled 110's..Green,grey,blue and more with both Damascus and regular steels Buck really gave us a lot of choices! I was trying to remember what Buck gave us in 112's in bone and could only remember just one run of LE's from the 90's and a super nice scrimed example by David Martin's wife..Do any of ya'll have or remember Buck doing a run of 112's with bone handles? I do remember a few one of one Customs by Joe Houser using polished horn..

Buck did 4 different color bone handle 112s for SMKW a year or two ago if I recall. Even Pink since that seems to be a hot color right now.

I found a old thread by Joe who said there were 400 of the #8197 and the MSRP was $90.00 in 1990 -1991..A few years later 15 or so were on Ebay for $30.00 plus $6.00 shipping. I forgot about the SMKW bone 112's..I have a Engineering sample of the pink one.
110's were and are more popular than the 112 and always had more variations..I was hoping I had missed a early bone LE 112.

Between build outs, special projects and sales like the, 'Racetrack' and others it's real easy to miss something. And as good as the current lists on BCCI's website they are not 100% complete. There's been a lot of very nice Bucks offered at the 15th 20th 25th BCCI get together's plus a bunch Joe and Buck brought to various Blade Shows and other events over the years and I was really hoping a few other bone handled 112's might be remembered. The fact that only one LE run from 1990 and the recent coloured bone 112's show how few 'special' 112's compared to 110's have been mentioned so far...But I'll keep looking!

I like the drop point blade the best on this series..If I was king I would have flipped the NS script over. It just seems right to do that.

I almost wanted to get one of those SMKW 112 bone knives but wish they hadn't put the "Buck" script on the scale like that. It looks really tacky to me. Like someone wrote their name on the knife. Buck and SMKW should have either used the anvil shield or the actual Buck logo instead.

I'm good with the "Buck" script I just wish it weren't upside down when the blade was open.
