According to C. Houston Price the Rogers Bone Company burned in 1956 and Schrade quit producing bone handles from 60-78. In 78 they had a contract with Parker-Frost for 6000 in red, green, and brown and in 83 they started the Heritage series which was disco'd sometime in the mid 80's.
Were these the only bone handles produced in quantity?
Were the staples of Schrades handles from 1960 the UH's, OT's, and Brown jigged open stocks?
I know the yellow also seemed common and the wood on the lockbacks and the DU's or other special editions.
Anyone know of other handle materials that were used extensively? I know there was celluloid but it was on it's way after they discovered delrin.
