Does anyone have the link to a youtube video of a jigging machine I am quite sure I saw a few years ago. And better yet....does anyone have a picture of a jigging machine? Does anyone know who bought Schrades' jigging machines when they went out of business a few years ago? Thanks.

Unless you are doing a ton of handles, I've found that a Dremel burr or grinding bit works just fine for jigging bone.

Rich his output is only exceeded by his imagination.

Phil that doesn't look too complicated ,for a millwright, that is.

Schrade mostly used molded Delrin, impregnated woods etc. When they used bone it, like most other handle materials was outsourced. To my knowledge they had not done bone jigging in many years. One memo I remember referred to the importation of jigged, dyed bone scales from Germany. Boker if I remember correctly. I don't know if Queen, GEC and other U.S. makers currently do their own jigging or not.

I'm pretty sure GEC does their own jigging, but I think they do it with a CNC mill of some sort.

Lyle: Please ask your water jet cousin to spit one of these things out ...will ya? As fast as that machine works should take but a lunchbreak........
