Got a couple good pictures of this one, it's a 3 finger karda. Will post them this evening in a sneak peek thread.

What are the rules for sharking in person? Can I be there and be the first to say I'll take it as I watch the FBF poster hit enter? BTW, dibs on the bone three finger Karda. You all can now fight it out about who gets to call seconds...

Why all the excitement for bone? I don't get it...but we all have different tastes. :)

I'm curious too - all the bone handles knives I have from other makers have 'slabby' scales and while I think Andy has made 3 bone knives to date ( all HB IIRC ), and the old school look is one I cherish, the magic in Andy's knives for me are his handle ergonomics.

The bone 3FK is gorgeous, but would be a safe queen for me.

Good luck to those going swimming for it tomorrow - no doubt it will be a rare one!

I understand what you are saying about "slabby" feeling bone handles but I don't expect a bone handled knife to be as comfortable as a standard handled knife. I sound a bit hypocritical as my contoured bone Hiking Buddy is extremely comfortable but it is the exception. IMO bone adds character and a rugged feel. I own quite a few stag, bone and stag/leather handled hunting knives and bowies. I would not want to be in a bushcraft situation with a stag handled knife but that isn't their intended use. Your hands would be full of blisters. I will say, however, there isn't anything as cool as field dressing a deer or any game with a bone handled knife. I love bird hunting with a side by side and field dressing birds with a stag handled bird and trout knife.

I also feel the same regarding an EDC. There is something very elegant about pulling out a bone handled edc in the right situation. I won't be using it much at work to break down boxes but it makes a nice gentleman's edc.

Bone rocks!!
