hello again.

long time no see...well I just finished this knife a short time ago and thought I´ll show it to you guys

Just for the fun of it...

It´s out of my favorite steel...Bohler N690...just amazing stuff
60HRC oal 9inch and a little under 1/4" thick, blasted finish

I first tested it and wanted to leave it without scales or wrap...like this:

here is the testing video (chopping,stabbing,cutting...):

anyways since then I played around with it a little more and decided to work on the handle because I didn´t like how it felt around the ringfinger....

when that was done I decided to make some quick n dirty rubberscales...

check out the How to video I made while working on it:

that´s how it looked yesterday when I was done:

Hope you like it..let me know what you think...

thx

Alfred , I really like the blade / and the handle area shape . You put a lanyard hole in there , and I like the pinkey notch . Are you going to go into production on this ?
OK I just saw the other vid and you said prototype so i'm thinking yes on the production . Will you be offering it as kit or fully finished ?

hello,
glad you like it..no production planned since I make knives only as a hobby right now

I call it prototype because that´s how I see it...mostly wanted to know how that kind of handle feels in hand and if it´s worth using on future designs as well.

Not to forget that I mostly make smaller blades and I wanted to give a bigger one a shot.

Since I changed the area around the ringfinger I´d say, the handle shape is worth using again.

Also like that the area around the lanyardhole which looks like a hammer can be used as one.
Mostly an emergency hammer but still ;-)

I´m happy with how it turned out and that the first not so comfortable handle...it hurt my ringfinger too much, is now really feeling good in my hand....glad I took the time to work on it...otherwise it would just sit in a drawer unused...now I have fun using and playing with it

best regards
Alfred
