Just out of curiousity: Does the Bonecutter carry the same warrenty as the CAK? (ie is it warrented as a prybar as well?)

As far as i'm aware the only kukri warranted for such use is the CAK, just as it states in the warranty and has always been from the beginning. To be absolutely sure on this though, you would have to ask Yangdu herself.

Read the current warranty if you have any other questions email Yangdu in the end its her choice.

See Kardas post following for location of current warrenty.

Read the current warranty you will notice that no kurki is any longer warrantied as a (prybar). any other questions email Yangdu in the end its her choice.

To avoid any confusion.........

The warrantee you posted is not the current warranty. The current warranty is stickied at the top of the forum and linked to the websites main page. It clearly states that the CAK is the only kukri covered for use as a prybar.

No problem, HARPERSGRACE.

Just so everyone is on the same page though.

It is my understanding that the khukuri listed for field use are the only ones covered for heavy useage and the CAK is the only one covered for useage as prybar. Any other khukuri is a general use khukuri and are only covered for light usage or self defense purposes. Some Khukuri are also only meant for collection or display, although they would undoubtedly withstand light usage in most cases. No khukuri are covered in cases of Abuse or Misuse, as determined by Yangdu with her many years of evaluating experience. No khukuri are covered in cases where they have been modified or reprofiled to the extent that they become prone to breakage, edge rolling or chipping out. Also no khukuri are covered due to normal wear and tear, like all things khukuri have a limited lifespan, but properly used and cared for should last a very long time. One should use proper judgement in the purchase, usage and care of their khukuri.

In short, nothing much has changed except that now we as purchasers are responsible and accountable for our khukuri and the H.I. business is protected against fraudulent practices. Yangdu is a pleasant and fair businesswoman and i for one am sure that everyone will be treated with the same World class kindness, generousity and customer service as we have always been given.
