I'm liking the bones from buck. I have one question in regards to the quality of the China made bucks. I had the X-tract and it broke quite easily:grumpy:. When I look at the bones it looks good but I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with it's quality because I may have had a faulty X-Tract. I traded the X-Tract in for a folding Alpha Hunter and it's great but made in the USA so now I'm skeptical of the China made ones.

Thanks for any advice.

I had one, I didnt realize it was an import when they first came out. It opened very smooth. Hand has a weird feel to it but it seemed nice for the price.
A gentleman I work with has one and he loves it. Pocket clip carries well. His opens nice also, last friday we used the tanto point to scrape off old gasket material off of a 36" flange at work. Best tool I have ever found for that task!!!
Maybe the buck strider series (USA) is more to your liking?

As the Strider/Buck collaboration has ended, I believe that Buck dropped the listing from their website. A search of the larger online stores should turn up a good assortment.

I have the 870X and I like it
It's not SUPER quality construction
But for the price I like it
I mostly like the URBAN CAMO look
I "collect" all things urban camo ......
