all the hype surrounding the new releases and people have been sucked in.....

i myself purchased a skinny ASH, but traded it before i even had it in my hands.....

i took the time to reflect, and decided to get the CGASH......

standard black micarta slabs with urban grey blade......

anyone have pics of this color combo???

i just have a feeling that i should buy a CGASH when i have the chance....for some reason, i think that once production stops, ASH prices will reach FSH and FSNO levels and it will be exceedingly difficult to get one....

i really love the feel of the skinny ASH also and will be getting one when skunk releases them again.....

i'm stocking up right now on FFBM's, and ASHes....not to resell, but i love those blades, and they will be very hard to get in the future.....

The closest I can come is an ASH with doublecut finish & mag black linen slabs... but the BATAC at the bottom of the pic has an urban gray finish...

thanks for the pics Jaxxx.....

i should've gotten double cut.....they look much nicer than the urban grey.....

It better...! It's an upgrade and costs more. :D The BATAC is a user, they do look better and more consistant when new.

They're all good...

That's a very rational position. Good luck!

hey jaxx, your pics convinced me to "modify" my order.....

i now have a CGASH, doublecut with standard black G10 coming to me......

if i am going to spend $313, might as well spend a measley $105 extra to get what i really want.......

now when are those skinnys coming out?!?!?!?

Good call on the double cut upgrade.. it's much nicer than a coated blade

yeah, i have plans for the doublecut blade.......

i have a tub of mother's mag polish....and i am going to polish all the corners and edges to a mirror finish and leave the flats double cut...

I don't feel there was all that much hype about the new releases....and I sure don't feel like I was sucked in. I just wanted some thin AD's.

now when are those skinnys coming out?!?!?!?

What!!! you looking to buy one that you sold before getting in??? Now who's the one being sucked in:p

:D Just messin with ya! Congrats on the new INFI:thumbup:

i should've waited till i got the skinny before i traded it....but, i'm getting a FFBM in return, so i can't really complain....

That's a nice trade.

I think the FFBM's are going to start being pretty scarce soon, they should appreciate just as much as FSH's have.

They are also great modding material.

I'm not sure if your polishing plan will work, Infi is hard stuff and will take an enormous amount of rubbing to go from double cut to polished if you aren't using something more aggressive than polishing paste.

it wasn't a straight up trade...i added some cash along with the ASH.....

in my experience, infi seems pretty easy to polish with mother's.....the hard part is getting the surface smooth first, but in case of doublecut and satin blades, it's already smooth.....just a little elbow grease and they shine up like a new penny....but it will take a countless amount of applications to get a mirror finish.....and it's not difficult, but rather tedious, but it can be done relatively easily....

i will be posting some pics when it's done.....give me 3 weeks....
