This is a little boning knife that I just completed. The steel is CPM S35vn with a satin belt finish. The handle is curly maple, that has been dyed and stabilized by WSSI. The handle changes colors as you move it, from light blue, to purple, to black. The chatoyance in the wood is incredible, and pictures can't really capture it.

The knife is fairly stiff, but has a bit of flex to it. I designed it as a boning knife, but it would work well as a filet knife for those who prefer a little less flex in your blade.

SPECS:

OAL 8-7/8"
Blade length 4-1/2"
Blade thickness 0.09"
Height at ricasso 5/8"
CPM-S35vn steel, heat treated and given a sub-zero treatment.

I like the blade shape, and the very elegant neutral handle what did you use for scales and pins? The handle seems like dyed wood but I am especially curious about the blue pins.
