Bonus time, looking for something special.

I'm fortunate to be receiving a corporate performance bonus again this year and am looking to take a bit of it and spend it on a new knife. I plan on spending $200-300 on something "special".

I'm looking for something to go into my EDC rotation that fits the following:

3 - 3.5 inch blade length
One handed opening
Non-Assisted opening
Right hand tip down carry since I find I'm carrying in my RBP most days

As an example of what I like to carry my current favorite EDC knives are probably my Para 2 or Sage 1, but I've been looking at Ti frame locks lately.

As far as a very useful, well-made knife that meets all of your criteria (including the Ti framelock criterion), the ZT 0550 comes to mind. Not sure if it's out of the ordinary enough to count as "something special", though.

Sorry for not expanding on the special part, I'm not quite sure what it means to me either other than something that stands out to me. I have looked at the 0550 and quite like it, but it doesn't stand out on its own. I might look into adding a the colored G-10 slab or a custom scale to it though.

How's about another Spydie? Perhaps a Chokwe or fluted-ti Native 5?

I had not thought about the fluted Native 5 but its definitely a possibility.

Stop postponing the inevitable, get a Sebenza!

I know, I know they pretty much matches what I listed :D.

Gotcha. In that case, I'd have to second the suggestion to go a bit above your $300 ceiling and get a Sebenza. Although it's not my personal cup of tea (I've sold off all my CRKs), it's definitely worth handling/owning one at some point in your knife nut career just to see what the extreme of superb F&F is like.
