Boogie Bag?

in my handmade-by-me leather bag (made with 4000+ lb climbing webbing, thru the bag as the full waist-circle strapping), that i DON'T leave home without, i have:

My Busse 9" Bladed Variant i affectionately call My Missy BoJo...
She's a lovely lass, with a Zero Edge (Rolled edge) Symmetrical Geometry; cord-wrapped handle. In the kydex-lined cordura pouch-sheath one finds a set of lock picks, a ferrocerium rod with steel striker, a lighter, a 4 1/2" ceramic rod, a loaded leather strop, and a SAK Trailmaster with locking blade for smaller cutting jobs. (Some days, i trade it with my Boye Dendritic Cobalt Folder Knife; depends upon mood) Around the sheath is around 75' of mil-spec 550 Paracord; i still have room for a small flashlight (in the pouch) but for now, it's separate from the knife, a Four-LED (Green) Light, good for three weeks "Continuous ON" time; also in the hip-pack: a bigger lock pick kit; a speedy stitcher with lots of strong waxed nylon line, a fishing kit, some Clif Bars {What else? Ha, Ha! }, a week's supply of vitamins, common medicines, and ...
and i just realized that you only asked for knives! OOPS! :o Sorry!

Boy, ya ask a simple question, & some people's kids can just drone on & on & on, ... huh? ;)

Good Evening-

We've got a "Boogie Box" in our family! It's a large, Rubbermaid ActionPacker that is loaded with blankets, knives, SureFire flashlights, spare batteries, spare bulbs, MREs, PowerBars, water, first aid supplies, socks, boots, windbreakers, hats, gloves, tripod, jumper cables, tools, and occasionally, things that go "BOOM!" There's probably some other stuff in there, but it's just slipping my mind right now.

I've been thinking about getting a spare sheath to lash into the trunk of my car or onto the aforementioned box to make transferring the knives easier. This duty will likely be handled by my soon-to-arrive Steel Heart E. There are also some cheaper SAK folders and higher-quality, one-handed folders in there, too.

Hope this helps,

~ Blue Jays ~

As of today, My Bob has a:

1. Marbles Fieldcraft
3. SAK Huntsman

The Fieldcraft will be swapped out with my SJ, when it arrives.

On a side note, I have a new pack arriving this week. I had some durability issues with the more modern packs, so I ordered a Duluth Rambler pack. If it proves as durable as I've read about, and is comfortable enough, I'll probably order up a Duluth Monarch later this spring.

Then, of course there's a whole bunch of 550 paracord, an Otter Box with First Aid Kit, super glue, duct tape, salt, iodine, aspirin and 2 Bic lighters, a lightweight H2O-proof 6'x8' tarp (folds up to a 4"x4"x2" carry size), a stainless coffee mug, and a water bottle.

And just for fun, my Kimber Stainless Target is usually pretty close by

All of this in your BOB bag? Guess if you have enough hardware, you do not need too much room for software.;)

Buzzbait, in addition to a larger gear pack I'm also planning on picking up a Rambler too:)
Duluth Pack's gear is awesome! Besides being tough, it is very affordable:D
I also have a Cruiser Combo 3 that we use for our food pack and it really takes the abuse compared to it's nylon copycats. I also use a field bag for all kinds of things from fishing to car trips etc.
Shoot me an email when you get it and let me know what you think of the Rambler:cool:

So anyway, my boogie kit is always equiped with a SH-E that also has a Victorinox Scout, a triangle ceramic, and a mag. firestarter in the pouch.
The Mean Street is a must, and a Gerber Multitool is always at hand also.

Well, let's see....

In my Bug Out Bag I have a Basic 7, a Basic 3, and a Leatherman Super Tool.

In my Truck Box I have a Wyoming Saw, a Glock Shovel, and an Ontario Survival Machete (I know, but I have a sentimental attachment to it.)

But since we're migrating to total contents here, and since my nature is to go where only goats have gone before....

BOB (Blackhawk Cyclone):
3 mre's, 3 cup o' soups
1 all weather blanket
1 poncho
sweetwater filter
Modular mini/midi kit
mini first aid kit
SAS mini book
2 commercial snares
snare wire
2 aerial flares
2 boxes trioxane tabs
100oz water
Full GI Canteen, cup, and cup stove
Para Cord (I don't remember how much, but it's a lot)
3 light sticks
Basic 7, Basic 3
Super Tool
Extra (empty) 100oz hydrastorm bladder
Zip Locs (2 qt, 1 gal)
2 Heavy Duty Trash Bags
Extra room

Truck box:
Wyoming Saw
Ontario Survival Machete
Glock Shovel
Bottle Jack w/ homemade mud base
portable cb
first aid kit
charter arms ar-7 & ammo
2 sets mud/ice chains
12v spotlight
tow chain
road flares
another all weather blanket
jumper cables

Cold Weather Bag:
Insulated coveralls
rain gear
gloves / hat

I'd throw some more stuff back there, but my Gt. Pyrenees says it's getting a little crowded. :D

I don't have a "bug out bag" as such, as my intent is to stay here in most circumstances.

I have "bug home" bags in each auto that ever leaves the island. Each bag contains, pointy-thing-wise:

Leatherman Wave

Spyderco Rescue

Cold Steel SRK

Gerber Hatchet

Glock shovel/saw

Nimrod, most of that will be belted as soon as the bag is needed.

With all that INFI, I'd have to haul the BOB in a trailer...
