hey guys are there any book or website i can go to learn the edible plants in the SE US? preferably NC but ill take the regional info if need be. I have always wanted to learn. any ideas? thanks fellas

Where are you located? There are some wilderness instructors in pretty much every southeast state that could probably help teach you what you need.

The Peterson field guides are great! Most of he time a book which is good at identifying plants, isn't the best at instructing how to use them. You will probably need more than one book. Its also a good idea to cross refference plants. Some may call a plant edible why others list it axs poisonous....

I also 2nd getting professional instruction. Nothing beats getting out there with someone experienced..

Check into weteachu.com I know Marty Simon does a plant walk in N.C. every year.

I've got just about every plant and tree book you can get about the Eastern and Southeastern U.S. from Barnes and Noble. Plenty of good books there.

nice thanks fellas. i would love to do a walk through with someone. i will have to look into that. thanks for the ideas and tips guys.. btw i am in north central NC
