I accidentaly discovered it on the ON SALE SHELF in Barnes and Noble. Hard cover for $8 and it was a great buy. I found it very informative on the topic of tracking with very practical details and technical suggestions (varying from the reccommended stalking speed of 100yards/hr, through the use of ghillie suit, to the habits and tracks of animals).

Would anyone recommend other books from Len McDougall? (Practical Outdoor Survival; Made for the Outdoors)
Other suggestions on good tracking, trapping or basic hunting books?
(Only book I have read on hunting was the memoirs of the chief hunter of a Hungarian aristocrat having huge lands in Transylvania. Three centuries ago, one of the bravest deeds of a noble man and the peak of the week-long hunting was the killing of wild boars with a long 'boar dagger'. I believe injuries and death were not uncommon during hunting in those days. But definite adrenaline boosts..)
Thanks for any response,
HM
