by Reynaldo Galang and the Babbakan crew. Available through Amazon.com and other booksellers. At 7 chapters, 100 pgs, B&W photos this book covers Sinawalli (Weaving pattern) double stick drills found in FMA.
The BD
Origins and Definitions of Sinawalli
History of FMA
Warm ups (Calisthetics and 4 basic drills)
Drills (7 drills with applications to double stick fighting)
Training tips and Sparring
A good reference for all levels and Sinawalli freaks, photos are a bit small and it's a fairly
short read. I didn't get a good chance to really read it as someone was looking over my shoulder.
Out of politeness, I walked away and hid it.
The book is a niche guide and a supplement to any FMA book and basically any tape like
Advincula's Double Stick (Panther), Dogbrothers Sinawalli, Inayan Sinawalli, Latosa Escrima Dos Manos, and Lucaylucay's Kali Arnis Escrima. I will say there were some interesting variations and drills and terms. It's good peek inside into the Bakbakan system as well.
For the real newbies, actual instruction or getting a video would be more beneficial especially if you don't live near an FMA school.
