Just purchased this "like new" book for $25.00. Thought that was a fair price. So...how many of you have this book and can say that after you read it, you purchased a knife? Do I need to worry? :D

I have 1 that is sealed so I have never read the book. Just owning the knife with give you the Buck curse. You definitely have Buck Knife purchases in your near future.

I have three. One that is sealed, one I planned on getting a few people at the BCCI 25th Anniversary to sign that are in the book and one that I read and use for reference.
Ended up buying the book Rusty wrote about BCCI's 25 years last year in Post Falls and having people sign that book instead.

I remember really enjoying reading about the history of Buck Knives…and especially the old photos.

Read it you will like it. FYI, I think I may have bought about 200 Buck knives after reading the book;).

Awesome book. I was surprised to read Al used to cut through bolts at trade shows to prove BUCK was the toughest knife on the market.

I'd buy it but that would cut (no pun intended) into my knife budget.

Besides, I don't need to amp up on purchases. I'm averaging one per week since joining this site (about 12.)

Does it include production dates, models, etc?

Make that 14.

I think several people have the book in this thread. I just received mine a few days ago.

I can't find this book used close to that price. Would love to have a couple, especially if one of them were sealed. Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy this book? Thanks.

All those interested.

This book can still be found for sale, but at knife/gun shows, online and from Buck people who are sellers of others collections. First thing I would do if you are a BCCI member is go to the website and place a want ad in the proper area. Then go to BF want to buy area and say something there. There are Buck people all over and some are ready to trim there collections an might sell one at a decent price.
I do not know of anywhere you can just click a button and get one, it will take some time and a search.

For those who have not read it, it is mainly Buck history and gives you a feeling for the Buck family business and how they wanted it to run. It shows photos from the 70 and 80s even earlier. As was mentioned most people that like Bucks now will read it and end up buying a few more knives than they had been "collecting" before reading the book. Same with me.... 300
