books about balisongs

Hi,

I'm interested in books about balisons, especially in those which cover opening and closing techniques :-).

Do the two books by Jeff Imada "Balisong Manual" (Paperback - December 1984)" and "Advanced Balisong Manual (No. 5192)" (Paperback - July 1991) differ significantly, i.e. is there a need to buy both.

What's about the book about Sid Campbell "Balisong : The Lethal Art of Filipino Knife Fighting" (Paperback - June 1986).

These are the only three I books I found at Amazon.com .

TO answer your quesiton.. yes the manual and advanced manula are significantly different.. I mean one has more advanced techniques than the other.. they are bnibles and is a must.. the book by campbell is more about using the knife for fighitng purposes not manilpulations.. but take my advice.. go here

If you are interested in German bali books, try gettin "Das Balisong-Schmetterlingsmesser" by Andrea Rees and Norman Becker, published by Sport-Buch-Verlag H. Velte. Basic openings and manipulations, a little history and basic combat application examples. It´s the only German bali book I know, and maybe it´s already out of print.
The websites mentioned in the thread are by far more exhaustive (manipulationwise) than that book, and are for free. I highly recommend checking them out.
