Books about knives?

So I realize this might seem like an odd request to some, but does anyone have any recommendations for books about knives? I've looked around online and in the local stores and all I've managed to find are picture books with hundreds of photos. There's nothing wrong with that but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I find the whole subject of cutlery to be fascinating, and I'd love to read up on the development of knives throughout history or the various types in different cultures. Maybe some more technical stuff on blade metallurgy or the knifemaking process. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe just some online resources to read up on? Thanks.

Spyderco story is also an interesting book, a bit of a coffee table one but some neat info.

You might have more luck finding books about swords, which also may include information about knives. Swords are a much "sexier" topic apparently, at least from a historical standpoint.

Something like the Book of the Sword by Richard Burton?

This definitely seems to be the case, but I really don't have much of an interest in swords. I'm guessing I might have to give that a shot though since there really doesn't seem to be many books about cutlery, which I find a bit surprising.

You might also want to check out Knifeworld which is a periodical and they have a pretty big book selection on their website. Most of them are the annuals, etc., but there are a lot of titles.
