Boom parang sheath

Just picked up a boom parang off the exchange and am looking to upgrade from the tactical cardboard sheath :-). I see Azwelke makes some nice kydex sheaths but does anyone have another suggestion to compare with?

Or - how are the Azwelke sheaths? Any rattle/blade play in them? It's my first Busse and I can see why people are so addicted to them so I would like to have a nice house for the blade to live in :-).

Thank you!

Man this is a loaded question... I use BuyBrown(kydex) and Pirtlemade(leather). However, time heard nothing but great things from all the sheath makers on here.

I have some azwelke sheaths that I bought around 2010 I believe and they are as good as a kydex sheaths can be in my opinion. Good retention, plenty of options, and aside from where I have cut the sheath putting the knife back in, looks just about the same as when I bought them.

I just ordered another sheath from the website that I am still waiting on. Been a little over a week since I ordered it.

Buy Brown is also a good choice too.

I just picked up an azwelke sheath for my AK47 and it has no rattle or movement at all. No mods necessary, just plug and play! I was not really expecting that due to the size of the blade, but it was perfect out of the box. If you wanted to go leather, I can't recommend Condos Leather enough. Excellent quality, fast turn around and very reasonable pricing.

Azwelke does some amazing work. Can't go wrong with any of the other mentioned sheath makers as well. They all do great work.

For kydex, Azwelke, Buy Brown, and Mashed Cat are all top notch.

Okuden is top notch if he is accepting orders.

I have a perfect kydex sheath from J&G for a Keffeler blade, but you may need to send your knife. Paw Paw is making kydex again and is excellent as well, but may or may not have to send your knife there as well.

I'm sure there are other excellent makers I've left off as well.

I picked up a BGAD with a Mashed Cat, a BGASH with a Buy Brown, and a Lil Smokey with an AZWelke, all off the exchange. I'm happy with each maker's work, and will order from them all in the future. I don't have any experience with the leather sheaths from some of the members here, but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to using one.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'll check out some of the other ones...which may make deciding even more difficult. Either way based on the expertise here I'm sure I'll be satisfied with what I choose.
