I got my Boomer52 scales in today and immediately went to work with the Dremel. No in-progress pics, but I have her all put together and to say that I'm pleased is an understatement! I laid the liner in the scale and marked the area that needed grinding with a Sharpie. It took all of 30 seconds to cut both liners with a cut off wheel. Fit and finish is on par, if not better, than the factory scales! Boomer52 was a pleasure to work with, answered all of my questions in a timely manner and just a great all around guy to deal with! If you're on the fence about these scales, then don't be! They totally transform the knife and makes an already awesome Delica into a super knife!

My Delica with factory handles was off-center when closed, but when I put these scales on, it centered the blade up perfectly!

Thanks again Boomer for some AWESOME scales! Now I'll place that order for some Endura scales!
 
Wow... does that look good with the deep carry clip...! It carries the transformation to another level...! NICE!
 
Steve definitely does amazing work. And I might say your efforts with that liner look pretty awesome as well. I love the color combination. Great job!!!
 
wtlj showed me some of boomers work about a year ago and gave me his contact info. I think after seeing these I may have to get a Zdp Delica and place an order.

Looks great!! I carried mine again today. I've been comparing mine to my PM2 and the scales really do make the knife feel like a mini PM2.
 
i have been keeping my eyes on these scales for some time now,i have never owned the delica! but these scales make me love to have one,the idea of having a mini PM2 in my pocket really is a nice idea,grate work from both of you.

Question: do the new scales change the grip position from the original scales when NOT choking up on the choil? Or, is the standard grip the same, but now with the option of using the choil?

They do change the feel of the grip a little. Think of a mini PM2, that's the best way I can describe it!
 
Steve did custom work for me on a Yojimbo2.... great person to deal with :thumbup:
The Delica looks real nice!!
 
Great pics. His work is amazing. I have some of his normal Delica pattern OD green G10 scales on my Delica. Makes the knife even greater. Can't wait to try the mini PM2 scales.

I gotta have one,:cool: but I think will make one of my own.
It will look a bit rougher than that one because ......no computers.
