Just got a killer deal on a pair of size 16 Danner Acadia ($140.00). I was wondering if anyone had any advice on breaking the leather in? Thanks in advance.

Nothing special, put them on and wear a bit each day till they are broken in. I wouldn't strap them on for a 10 mile hike or a full work day till then though.

There are cheats out there but could mess up those good boots so I wouldn't do them.

Danner's take a long time to break in. I just bought a pair of Quarry's back in February and it was probably a month or so until I felt that they were fully broken in. The only real trick is wearing them. A little boot conditioning oil will help things along some, but don't go overboard on it, you don't want the leather to get too soft. I would just wear mine until my feet couldn't take it anymore then switch to something else for the rest of the day. Now a few months down the road they are the most comfortable pair of footwear I own.
