This one was last weeks project.
4 1/2" 1095 blade 9" OAL
blade is ground only on the front side with the back side remaining flat, the handle on the back only has a small bow ground in.
stainless hardware on Black Walnut.

Let me know what you don't like about it.
in the picture of the back side looks like scratches in the blade but they are NOT there.

I really like the overall shape of that bad boy. Great double hamon and nice walnut. I also like the double chisel grind idea. Don't know why, but I do! Really, I don't see daggers as much use utility wise personally, but definately a great piece. Thanks for sharing.

Nice boot dagger. Well executed hamons.
Interesting handle design.
Might catch some heat here for the differing blade
treatments, however I like it.

Hi Mike, since you asked...and by the way, thanks for posting your work:thumbup:

I would like to see a fuller, and I find the red spacers to be a little garish, (black would look nicer in this case, in my opinion), but there are many combinations of materials that would work well for this knife.

The design appears to be very sound. This knife really is made to live in a boot comfortably, and the handle looks like it would provide for a quick draw and discreet carry. I am really liking the curves and width of the blade, the single sided contouring, the stout point, dual finger choil and a very secure looking grip for the palm. Very stabby.

The hamon is definitely complimentary.

I'd like to see a view from the top down, too.
Where is the sheath at?

I do expect too catch some heat every now and again just because I like doing things MY way. But that doesn't mean that I don't hear what they are saying..

Hope this is the shot you were looking for. I was thing about use black spacers but thought the red would look better with the dark wood.

actually it was a shot at the spine I wanted to see, but that's a good one too:)

That is a really cool little knife - love the blade shape, hamon and walnut. I wouldn't call the red spacers garish, but I share Lorien's preference for black. Really nice job overall.
