Anyone know who made the boots form the Hunted. I think it was Catskill leatherworks or something like that but cant remember . Thanks

A buddy of mine has a pair. He really likes them, but sent them back in to get the original soles taken off and a different sole put on. The originals are not good for snow or slick surfaces, infact they are dangerously slick.

Thanks all
found it yesterday and want to order a pari sometime soon. Any suggestions to what type sole to get. They would maily be used for wondering through the woods.

What time of year, any stream or slippery banks going to be a regular part of your trails. Let them know what type of environment you will be hiking in. The regular soles that come with them are not good for snow or slippery areas.

I believe the costume department added some kind of felt material to the soles for the film.

What soles did he end up getting and what "original" soles did he have removed?

Hey there. New to the forums here, but thought I would give a little option to the table. If you do not mind looking like a ninja, Tabi boots are excellent for stalking, and come in several different varieties. If you are looking for a "treadless" design, much like in The Hunted, then searching for "waffle" bottoms to the tabi boots would the best choice. I have a few different styles, but the waffle bottoms are worth the hunt.
All Tabis are light weight and allow for good foot movement. I have used them for years in the woods. If you are looking for durability and gripping power, the ridged sole of other Tabi styles may be better for you. They have a rubber tire lining that goes around the first half inch or so around the bottoms. Personally, I always choose Tabi when wondering the woods and praticing tracking/stalking. The only downside is the fact that they are not that great for winter weather. Due to their lightweight design, you lose insulation and waterproofing. They are usually made of either thin canvas or leather. Overall, for the warm weather tracker and stalker, they are excellent! Hope this info. helps.

O,kay we know what they are not good for . What are they good for ? I,m gonna check out the site as well . It sounds like this " Hunted" is a kicka$$ movie . IUs it treally that good or just another hollywood dream ? Tommy Lee jines is one of my favourite actors . From Black moon rising to "Missing" he has made great flicks with very few dogs inbetween .

I do NOT want to help hijack this thread and change the topic to movie review. I recommend you post a seperate thread and/or search the forum for other threads adressing your questions. I will just say though that it was an "interesting" movie that lacked realism.

I just watched it again today! I was wondering about those boots myself, but ultimately decided that I will get the tabi boots

good timing!

I figured since the question had been answered in depth it would be o,kay . . IOf I want to know about the movie I will post another thread .
