So I'm hitting the mountains of Boise National Forrest tomorrow for a two to three day backpacking trip. Alot of my gear is up north where I was playing with it over the winter, and I need to pick up some consumable equipment, IE 550 chord and food, so I'm making do with some not-so-ideal equipment and cobbling together some stuff from the cupboards, but ideal equipment really isn't the point of being outside, being outside is. We have a 75-80 degree forecast for the next three days with a slight chance of rain and 40 degree nights. I'll probably be breaking camp around 6500 feet so (there aren't any trees for firewood up til that point) and there's still snow on the summits, so I'm bringing a hefty bedroll and lots of wool. Just getting sick of the same old same old crap.
