Had a piece of 5 oz yellow latigo that was calling to me.:D I cheated and punched all the holes so it's glued and "laced" together with syntho sinue. Dicked around with some edgecoat that I never use to try to pick up the colour of the snakeskin inlay (filling a hole in the leather) the flap is lined with black upholstery. I love Sam Brown closers but the hole always stretches and is no longer secure. I've been doing the closer you see for a couple of years and it works great. If it gets loose you just rewrap it to tighten.

Best regards

Way to go Robin. Very nice work. I would like to copy your closure system on an axe sheath. Do you think it will work? You are right about the hole wallering out after awhile. Could be called the Pipeman Closure system. Looks perfect for flint and steel or some ammo. Nice set up on the picture. Lost of work went into that. You must have been really bored. Regards

Hey Loosearrow, Yes, the closer works well on axe sheaths, hawk sheaths, knife sheaths. The size is 4 1/4 X 5 1/4 X 1 1/2.
I make lots of belt pouches for fire kits, ammo etc. This is a first for this style of box, I usually do them with side gussets or side and bottom gussets. Feel free to use the Sam brown closer, it works great. Here's a pic of a sheath with the same closer.

Best regards

Robin
