I found the Birk to be a wonderful knife, but just a tad too small for me. The Borka looks about perfect. I'm not a huge fan of backlocks but I think I could deal. I'll be watching for this one.
The Borka is intended for bush crafting, whittling. A tumb stud on the blade is not the optimal solution then.
The thumb stud will be another one, that can be removed with a small screw driver.
Also for legislation reasons in some countries it would be an advantage to have the opportunity to remove the stud.
If removed, you will need a the nail nick. The nail nick goes through the blade ie both left/ right hand opening.
The clip as left/right as well.
Tonight we examined the mechanism together with the Nylund bothers, and found a detail to improve.
Means it will take 3 - 4 more until they are produced.
Will be made Flat grind/Black, Scandi grind/Green.
