I posted an inquiry a bit ago about Born Bronsons as a trail boot-there were 5-6 genuinely interested people, and then the thread got swept under the rug, so here's an initial review. They're on my feet as we speak. I was amazed out of the box how light they are-made of very soft leather and the soles are perfect balance between thick, solid tread and light weight. The leatherwork is impeccable, and they fit like a glove. Very easy to get on and off. As far as customer service, well... I dropped 30 bucks on a pair of Born sandals last month and they broke. I shot an email to customer service, who responded in about a week's time asking me to list three pair of shoes I'd rather have instead, because they didn't have the sandals in stock. So instead of replacing my 30 dollar sandals, they sent me two pair of 200 dollar boots instead. I recieved a pair of Bangors as well-I haven't tried em on yet, but I'll put some pack miles on this weekend and tell you how they do.
