Boron fiber handles? Superior to Carbon fiber...

Are there any boron fiber handles? I hear it's 6x more expensive than carbon fiber but it outperforms CF in strength and is used to repair and reinforce F16 fighter planes due to its superior qualities. Its use is even banned in formula race cars due to its unfair advantage that only the wealthiest teams can afford. Anyone used it in a knife?

I havent seen it or heard of it. Research suggests that at this point the application would not be purposeful in knives yet. From what i understand its mostly used in aerospace tape for temporary repairs of airplanes. I havent seen it made into anying that would be useful in a knife.

From what I can tell, Google turns up nothing on boron fiber knives (or handles of knives) - but, there's a first for everything. Overkill, probably. But I think it would be neat

Yes but i think it would need to be developed into a composite material like carbon fiber being impregnated with resin which they havent done yet as far as i can tell.

Why would you want it?

So you could tell the guy beside you at the pisser your knife handles cost 6x more than his?

My buddy owns a body shop, and smart cars and some of the higher end cars use boron fibers in the roll cage/frame. The only way to cut through it is with a plasma torch.

As far as knives go? I've heard of nothing using it. Not that I could afford owning one, as pure crystalline Boron runs roughly $5 per gram.
