Are these knives made any better than the regular Case knives? Do they compare at all to a custom slip (not necessarily one made by Bose)? Or are they just more expensive because of the collectibility?

Just my opinion. They are $, but they are the best factory multiblades I have ever seen as far as quality and the regular Case lines do not come close.

They are better than some customs, but not that close to the "big name makers" and some of the more talented guys that are not as well known.

I personally have looked at several, and though they are better than an average Case Knife, I would put them well below many custom knives in very similar price ranges. Like Bastid, said there are a lot of good makers that ain't that well known.

Its a darn good production knife. Well made but not in the same league as a custom. Stay away from the stag. I had one and didnt keep it. Handles were way too thick for that pattern. I've heard the bone and pearl are very nice.

Oh I've decided not to bother with these, I've got some real Bose's on order now :D

I've got a Dogleg Jack with the stag handles that has been a constant carry and user since November '03. The quality is MUCH better than the regular Case knives and the ATS-34 blades (2) have done everything I've asked of them. This knife is a great user.......of course I paid a $125.00 off the MRSP for it so I have no problem with using it.
