Look what's on the horizon, at the "Bose knives" thread!

One of the most loved threads in knife forums is approaching 4000 posts!! 200 pages of some of the best pocketknives in the world! Tony and Reese's knives are the Holy Grail for many of us, and the Case/Bose collaborations are arguably the best production knives known today.

In honor of these great feats (and influenced by the euphoria of receiving one of the nicest customs I've ever seen) I am going to give away one of the collaborations! You heard right, give away! You must be a frequent poster to that Bose thread, 20 posts at least before this giveaway. You must write a brief summary of your dream Bose knife, and you must solemnly promise to use this knife!! Your entry number is your post number, and please only post once!

The knife; a Stag Dogleg Jack, engineered by Tony himself, and built by an elite team of cutlers at Case. Mint, but not accompanied by the "safe queen stuff", no papers, no purse, just a beauty of a knife! Closest thing to a custom knife there is!
Remember; A)20-posters only please
B)Dream knife
C)solemn promise
D)post once
I'll draw a number from a hat, with a neutral observer, shortly after the 4000th post. GOOD LUCK!!
Thanks for starting and maintaining a great thread go to Vince, and our intrepid moderators Gus and Elliot!

Charlie, this is most generous of you, once again !
I'll start & this is easy for me.My dream Bose is one that comes from Wifred Works made for me.
I will use it! & like 2toes says,"sans purse :D"

I don't think I have enough posts in there but thats o.k.
Very kind gesture Charlie....
Congrats to the folks at Wilford on their success.

Hey great idea Charlie and what a generous offer.
My favorite Bose has to be the 3.5 wharncliffe trapper in stag.
Maybe some day! Until then I'll just have to surf the Bose posts and use this one:)
Thank you!

Very kind of you, Charlie. Since I already own one of those great knives, I'll let someone else (who hopefully doesn't already have one) find out just how nice they are.

Well done, Charlie.

I don't qualify for this giveaway since I don't have any Bose knives--I hope to have at least a collaboration some day. But I just wanted to comment on the generosity of this, Waynorth. Really nice form. Incredible.

Nice give-a-way Charles,

But I only have a precious few posts in there at this time. :grumpy:

Does it count if'n I am a heavy lurker and drooler in there from early on??...Cause I sure am and that's the GOD's honest truth!! :D :D

Anyway, all the best to whomever wins.

Anthony

Dream knife: Two-blade Barlow. Sadly, I missed my opportunity at Blade Show, last year, to possess a "Grail." You see, I have yet to have the chance of coveting anything Bose. *hangs head in shame and or for pity* :D I chased The Bastid all over Hotlanta for the "Grail," but his goats were able to keep me at bay. Since this psychologically traumatic event, I've slipped deeper into depression, which has caused me to purchase nothing but Frost Cutlery slip joints.

I, The Gigster, do solemnly promise to carry and use, never abused, said slip joint. I also promise to oil it when needed, wipe it down daily, display it proudly to the non-slip joint peoplez, and never, ever, place it in a leather pouch/purse. In the name of the Father, the Son, and all things Bose. Amen. :D

Charlie, Very generous of you. I dont have one of those so.
I think my dream knife would be the next one I get.
And you know I would use it.

This is not an entry since I have one of those in bone. It is my favorite of the collaboration knives. (that may change if I get my hands on the '09 model :D).
The winner is going to be one happy fella (or gal).
An amazing give-away from Waynorth. Also the Bose knife thread, with all the pictures, is the stuff dreams are made of.

An amazing give away is right Rob, Thank you Charlie, I am afraid I already own my dream Bose knife, it was the first one I bought. A Remington Bone Peanut, one of two that Tony ever made. I have always been a sucker for peanuts. And Tony's is the best.

As for the oath, "I, James Todd promise I will faithfully carry this one until released from the oath by Charlie" I will make it my daily user, So help me Tony.

Another one with not enough posts. sorry to clog the system, but I have to say,"another great jesture from a forum member Charlie."

4 inch BP, ivory scales, Zulu blade - just like the one you scored, you lucky devil! Thanks for the chance. If I win, that knife goes right into my pocket.

What a terrific gesture Charlie, and a great way to commemorate such an enjoyable thread here on the Traditional Forum.

I have one of those already, so I too will not enter. Whoever wins it will be a lucky Bose Ho.

Great give away Charlie. I'll pass as I already have one. Hope some one wins it that doesn't have a Case/Bose knife as yet...

How could you not use that fella on a daily basis? Nope, I don't qualify either.

My dream Bose knife is any knife that walks out of the Wilfred Works. But seriously, I would love a swayback gent in ivory or in ebony. That would truly be a DREAM. I have an ebony desk knife that I use daily, and could NEVER part with. I have yet to get my hands on a Case/Bose Collaboration, but one of these days, I will! Charlie, thank you for the generous give-away! Long live the Bose Thread!!

Wowee! What a generous offer!

Now let me see.
I am an official BoseHo, and it is absolutely my favorite thread on the web.

I am a big believer in carrying/using knives.

The problem is the dream knife. I have spent hours perusing the Bose thread, dreaming of the time that I will get a call or email saying that it's time for my knife. I have looked at the Bose pattern pages long and hard. What to choose, what to choose. Of course, looking at the pics in the thread helped me decide.

I would like a two-bladed Backpocket in Ivory. It was difficult deciding between that and the Ivory Zulu pattern, but the multiblade wins out every time for me. :D

Again, thanks for the offer!

Thanks Charlie.

My dream Bose knife will be the next one when my name comes up on Tony's list.
It is going to be what Tony wants to make at the time. (maybe something with more than 3 blades, but who knows.)

Charlie,

Thanks for the Great Thread! My "wish-list" dream Bose, would be a ivory lock-back whittler. I saw a picture of one on the "other" forum., and it was prety cool!

I do have a dog-leg collab, so....if my name/number gets picked, you can pick again, so someone that Doesn't have one, will now get lucky! ;)
