Hi all,

I've got a BJCG (jungle green/pumpkin) currently on the way (still clearing customs, as USPS tracking tells me).

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this sheath and how the fit was for the BJCG. Would I need the short or long sheath?
The sheath seems to be very functional, but I'm not sure if I needed to have a custom kydex made to fit in the sheath.

Cheers for any help,
jaxs

p.s. my first post! but I've learnt heaps from lurking around.. :)

Welcome to the madness :)

SHORT is a perfect fit!

I've used Combat Master sheaths on two BJs already and they are fantastic - easy and the pocket is perfect for a leatherman, small surefire and a lighter.

If will fit in the insert as is, but for a better fit you can remove the instert and either boil it or use a heat gun to soften the plastic up then put your BJ inside and form it to fit.

EDIT: here are some quick pics for you:

If you dont have some of those foam pads to form kydex, you can just heat the sheath up and wrap it in a towel and then press with a book...

Cheers for the quick reply and pictures mate!

I'll definitely be making an order very soon. See how I go with the fit before I try the heat gun.
Just a quick question - do you heat the kydex with the blade in it?

Glad to help!

I take the blade out when I use a heat gun, but I have foam blocks that make forming the sheath a snap - if dont have the blocks, you may want to leave the knife in and then you can just finger form the blade in. Other people boil the insert to soften it up and if you do that, you most likely want to leave the knife out ;)

The insert is pretty forgiving so you can mold and reform all night until you get the fit you want...

Good luck and ENJOY your BOSS Jack - its one of my favorite Busses ever.

I can't wait to get it! (been checking USPS tracking every hour!)

Thanks for the tips again!

I just formed my spec ops to fit my BJ proto. I didnt think it was possible until I saw this thread. Thanks! Although mine doesnt look as nice as the kydex insert pictured, it works.
