Hi guys I just want some opinions on what you think is a better belt knife between the two.

I bet most are gonna go SCABS, but I will go Boss Jack in horizontal, front side carry...

I pack a Boss Jack Proto in my truck at all times, I respect the short blade profile and respectable length in the same package...

Cause ya never know-- the next car door you gotta pry open in an accident may just be your own

Hope that helps a little! :)

Both are great blades and you can't go wrong with either. I personally love my SCABS and never leave home without it. It is a great size but thin enough to carry and not be to bulky on a belt. Good luck with your decision.

I love both. The Boss Jack is a great all around utility blade... can baton, do woodwork stuff, and it wouldn't be bad at all in self defense.

The ABS series is the most bushcraft-y knife Busse has made for my needs. The handles are super comfortable and they slice like nobody's business.

Thanks for the input guys. Does anybody have a side by side comparison.

If I had to pick one or the other I would go with the Boss Jack. It is easier to to small tasks with a bigger knife than it is to do large tasks with a smaller knife. Just my opinion.

'Better' belt knife would be entirely subjective, depending mostly on what application you expect to be using it for. Now, that being said I would choose the Boss Jack over the Boss Street if I DID NOT KNOW what I might need to use it for. This would be for the same reason Garth had cited, bigger knife wins out for me given a large variety of possible uses.

That being said, i can only comfortably carry the Boss Jack in a couple different ways on belt. The Boss Street is much better for inside waistband carry, especially up front between 10:30-1:30. Looking at it from this perspective, if one cannot comfortably carry the Boss Jack….. it will likely not be carried often (if at all). From this perspective, the Boss Street could be viewed as the 'better' belt knife.

I have carried a Choilless Boss Jack CG extensively over the last couple years, it is my go to knife at this point if I don't have a specific set of tasks in mind. I have dedicated time experimenting with different carry positions to find what works for me, ultimately you would have to do the same to see if it's something you can commit to. If you don't carry it, in no way can it be considered better than something you would actually carry…..

Stand by for obligatory photos……..

Great pic's !!!! The outdoor background looks great, blades are sweet too !! :)

I luvem both. The SCABS would be easier to carry, but if I could carry a six inch knife without too much trouble, I would.;)

Looking at Red Angel Dragnet's pictures of all those knives up in the hills, my first thought was, "he must rattle a lot when he goes hiking." Very nice knives. Must. Not. Buy. More.

I agree.

Thanks everyone for the nice photos!

LOL, good luck holding out on those future purchases….. ;)

Regarding the knives in the hills, I only take one Boss Jack with me but I don't always take the same one….. :)
