Your logic makes sense. I've been stabbed or cut a few times. One time by a B11 and one time by a High Street. Both times, I knew my attacker. Me. I dropped my B11 and stuck an inch and a half deep into left calf. I stuck my High Street into left hand. I didn't feel honored at all, just stupid. I have had others and by "others", I mean inmates, try to cut or stab me. It was with typical inmate weapons, pens, pencils, a razor blade melted into a tooth brush. The cleverest attempt was with a sharpened pork chop T-bone, used as a push dagger. Needless to say, I've been blessed or at least, very lucky, not to have been injured. If I had been, I think I would have felt just as stupid, as when I stabbed myself, with my Busses.Use the Search This Forum function with "Dexter" for more pix.
...And no... Stabbed is still stabbed. No honor, just pain. As much as I love Busse knives, if I got stabbed with one, I'm certainly NOT going to say, "Did you just stab me with a Busse knife? I'm honored!" LOL
Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I'd rather be stabbed by a POS... I just might get lucky and the blade might break off or lose its edge on my clothing before doing much damage.
...But all funny aside, may we all never be unfortunate enough to find ourselves in any situation involving a knife used against us and may we be fortunate enough to never have to use one against another.
