Boss Jack reviews?

Has anyone used/handled a Boss Jack much? I have one inbound on a trade and haven't really heard much of their use. Anyone?

The BOSS Jack's popularity is really odd to me. At first, everyone said they'd be instant classics, but now they're so difficult to sell on the exchange. At first it also seemed everyone favored the CGs because of their thickness and "Busse-ness," but later on the LEs became more popular because of their thinness and slicing ability. Most people need liners to thicken up the handles, though.

INFI is INFI so you know it'll be reliable, but to me, the BOSS Jack stands out aesthetically. It's long for its width compared to other Busses, and that's what makes it sexy to me. It's sleek, it's low profile, and its curves are conservative yet elegant. It knows how beautiful it is, but it's modest. It's not outspoken, but it's confident. I used to have a double cut one with black paper Micarta--I'd never seen such grace in a knife before, much less a combat knife. I got three more after that, and I'm expecting one from the custom shop, hopefully by 2015 :p

I hope you weren't expecting some more useful thoughts and reviews on its uses. Sorry :p I never got to use mine much, but I will say that with other knives this size, it was too long for long-knife chores, yet too short for short-knife chores. What I did use it for though, it was just fine, and I felt good carrying mine.

Agree with above. I had a CG that took me forever to get it sharp as I had to cut down the shoulders to really reach a workabke edge on my Worksharp. I wanted to remove the slabs and go bigger as the handle size did not seem to match the thickness of the blade. I ended up selling my on the bay as I could not obtain an offer here on the forums.

That was very heartfelt. Honestly, that is one of the best reviews of a knife I've read in a while. I think I'm more excited about getting this than I was before.

I like the BJ because it's one of the few Busses that was offered without a choil.
After thinning the shoulders a bit it really grew on me. The handle is a little slender
but it keeps the knife compact and still feels good. It does everything well for a
blade it's size.

I really like it. I have smaller hands and have grabbed a couple of users at good prices. :-)

I own one of the original Boss Jack Protos with black canvas scales, it is a sleek fighter.
I think it may still be my favorite blade.
Someday I'll take a better photo.

I am on my 4th one. Always liked the look but the handle was too thin and the edge to thick on the first three. The LE addressed that (edge wise) and in choiless it's a lot of blade in a small package.

I love the Boss Jack. Some do need a little thinning, but they are my favorite all around Busse. Especially the choiless.

I love my CG choiless muddy, black paper, yellow liners...
It came with an absurdly obtuse edge angle, as well as a very thick blade profile behind the edge. I spent alot of time thinning out the edge and grind behind it. Now, it's STUPID sharp...and just feels so good. It is a fantastic general use knife to always have on ya... I agree with uyotg... the best thing about the boss jack is its quite confidence...you'll feel it. It's very unassuming but totally ready to GET DOWN!

The Boss Jack is one of my favorites, fits my hand perfectly and carry's real well. It is my favorite hiking knife.
I have 3 of them and figured I had a real problem, thanks kenrunchen I dont feel that way any more:)

It has a sleeker feel to it than the other two, feels as good as it looks! Garth can put an edge on a blade too, that's for sure!

I love my choiless LE. Fantastic knife. It was one of those that just left me speechless when I first got it in hand. You won't be disappointed.

Once you get hooked, you're gonna need more than one. :)

Boss Jacks lol, musta lost count!
