A brand spanking new Boss Jack arrived on Monday. Just got around to taking some pics before it gets all scratched up. Thank you Jerry for this awesome design.

LOVE raw INFI and black canvas. This beauty is double cut and has a very nice little convex edge from Beef. Thanks mate :)

Enjoy...

Very nice pics!! How do you like it after using it?

I was going to order a choil-less BJ this time around, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I know from experience with other knives I own that I'm going to reach for that Choil whether it's there or not. So I went with my all-time favorite color scheme; Jungle Green and Black Canvas.

Also, how does the geometry and the factory edge compare to the Proto?

That is awesome. I think I'll call in and hope they can change mine from black finish to double cut! The supposed corrosion resistance and extra protection of a finish got me blurting out "uh, uhhh, um, black!" in my giddiness on the phone placing the order with Amy, but these pictures really won me over.

Have a blast! Did you get any sheaths for it?

Mate I love it. It's really handy in the kitchen. I've used it to fillet chicken breast, slice tomatoes and various other veges & meat, as well as chop up bones for Murray (the dog). I haven't used it outside yeat, but I bet it will be a great all round camp knife. Coupled with a small axe or larger Busse (my pref ;)) it would be the perfect addition to any camping/hiking/outdoorsie setup.

The blade geometry is a fair bit finer than the proto. The factory edge is great. Super sharp with a nice gentle convex edge that will be easy to maintain with light stropping. While the grind is finer, the tip still has enough guts to it so you don't feel like you might damage it with stabbing and prying. All in all I reckon it's a real winner. That said, I still love the thick prototype too.

The great thing about INFI is if you clean it and dry it properly after use, you won't have any dramas with it. If you're not sure, just squirt a bit of WD40 on it occaisionally.

No sheath yet. Not sure what I'll do about that. Probably something leathery and nice at some stage.

I thought all of you Ozzies just went into the brush and killed the first reptile that tried to eat you for sheath material... No? ;) :D:D
Great pix, brother! Thanxx for posting them up!!! :)

I'm heading out this weekend to 'make' a sheath. I'll just find a goanna and stick it in it. Done. :D

Rob, I changed my order to a double cut because of you :D
don't forget to update with pics of the goanna sheath!

Sweet

I love the dc finish so much - I even had the LE beadblasted.
BTW... I really like that "swedgeless" (?) UG of yours!

Great looking knife. I was on the verge of ordering DC but have never had a jungle green finish, so I opted for that. I am kind of wishing I would have ordered a DC now, but No Regrets right?
