Boss Jack Variation Question...

So I recently acquired the Boss Jack Proto in Black Canvas-Double Cut, and want to get a G10 LE model or a CG Boss Jack. I stumbled on a picture of some double cut CG's and i have never seen any other pictures of these? Does anyone have one?? I've narrowed it down to a Black & Tan G10 CG DC (as shown below) or LE, but never seem to see them often....maybe this is a job for Garth in the custom shop....?

You can: 1) wait for one to pop up on the exchange, 2) wait for someone to offer to sell you theirs, or 3) wait for the custom shop to make it for you. Pick your poison :D.
 
Man! Those were up for so long and I don't have one.

I hate when that happens!
 
I was fortunate to get a pair of Proto BOSS Jacks from Blade West some years ago, by way of a proxy buyer. But the blade was too stout for my taste and I dumped it right away.



 
Double cut with black canvas LE. The LE thinness and grind makes this a nice light carry knife, and a great all around cutter.

 
Hmmm. Now I am perplexed! Rob's seems to be the combat grade that I have pictured in my original post, but what is the origin of the double cut LE shown by Tyrade? Custom modification requested when the original LE's were offered? That's probably closer to what I am after since most seem to prefer the LE profile.

Very nice! A BJLE with DC finish - I would have never guessed it was possible.

That is exactly what it is, I requested the DC finish on my LE when I placed my order. This one got double thickness black liners in it as well, to thicken the grip up for me.

Very cool, if you get a chance, I'd like to see what "double-liners" looks like from the spine. A photo of that would be awesome. Also, how noticeable is the extra thickness created by the two liners??

I had a chance to handle a CG before I ordered my set, and found that handles a bit thin for my liking. So I ordered my black on BCM with one set of black liners, and the LE with two sets because of the thinner blade stock. They both feel great in hand now, but I've only used the LE for now, as I've never felt that I needed that thicker CG over the thinner LE.

The CG measures .790 at the front tube rivet



The LE comes in at .795, so they are essentially the same in the hand, other than weight
