This falls under the "because I can" category. To me, the feel of my new CG Jack is much like my RMD despite differences on the micrometer. They're both light weight "ideal" sized knives in my book. See how it panned out

Yep. RMD is sorta like a Boss Jack. I like em both. I had an RMD the first time. Sold it. (Partially b/c it was that industrial Delta-woodworking-machines gray - BLEECH!) Got another in BP this go-round. In the cool tactical gray. Then got a black/black one. I like that one the best. Got a great kydex sheath for it, too.

The BOSS Jack (proto black/red G10) got leather. Just looks better.

Mmmmmm. Niiiiiiiiiiiivz!

Thanks for bringing this up.

I bet the RMD2 LE is an even closer match... In fact, my RMD2 LE has kept me from buying a SAR6 and may keep me from getting a BJ LE with the length and width being nearly identical...

Love to see a side by side of those two.

I've been worndering about this comparison; thanks for the pics, adrock.:thumbup:
The RMD is mucho perfecto in my opinion so I don't know what will happen when I actually get to handle my Boss Jack... my dome may explode. It's just that cool

Thanks for the pics Adrock! Am trying to avoid buying new knives but I dont think I can resist getting a double cut no choil Boss Jack. :)

Nice pic's Adrock ... the Boss Jack does look very useful as a design when compared to the RMD .... now you have me thinking of a double cut and black paper option to pair with my Nuke KZ ....

I need to sell some first .... if only I could just "print" the stuff ....

Thank you for this. I thought long and hard about buying a Boss Jack but I have a RMD which is perfect for my needs of a knife that size. It's the perfect in between for me of something smaller like a 3" blade and my bigger knife the SOD.

Nice comparison. Thanks! I'm diggin' that BJ color combo. What about weight and balance points?

Both great all around sizes, but to me the biggest difference is that the RMD is a great hiking/camping knife where with the perfect grip contour and bigger belly it does a decent job on light batoning and chopping. I like the BJ as more of a fighter, defensive or food prep knife and a damn sexy one at that. Even with a blade length about the size of an ASH1 it is still light enough and trim enough for easy carry.

Both knives are home runs any way you look at them.

If you like to get the most out of one knife or don't like redundancy in size and use then I'd say stick with your rmd. I love everything about my Rat. The jack really is just extra for me. I tend to NOT want redundancy but the bj was too hard to pass up.

Its funny with the weight. I couldn't say for sure because I don't have a scale but they seem really similar. The rmd actually feels beefier because of the palm swell and blade depth. The bj should weigh more because of length and thickness but it feels lighter/quicker than the rmd.
